Privacy Policy for PaxLog

Effective date: 1 June 2026

Your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how PaxLog handles information when you use the app.

PaxLog is a personal flight logbook app. The app allows you to save and manage information about your flights, including flight dates, airports, airlines, aircraft, flight numbers, seats, booking details, remarks, delay information, photos, statistics, maps and other flight-related data that you choose to enter.

Data Stored by the App

PaxLog stores the information that you enter into the app so that it can provide its flight logbook features.

This may include:

This data is used only to provide the functionality of PaxLog.

Local Storage

Your PaxLog data is stored locally on your device.

PaxLog does not require a user account with the developer. The developer, Christian Ettelt, does not operate a separate server for storing your personal flight logbook data and does not have direct access to the data stored locally on your device.

iCloud Sync

If iCloud sync is enabled, PaxLog may store and sync your app data using Apple iCloud and CloudKit. This allows your data to be available on your Apple devices that use the same Apple ID.

Data stored in iCloud is handled by Apple according to Apple’s privacy and iCloud terms. You can manage iCloud availability and app data through your device settings and Apple ID settings.

Photos

If you choose to add photos to a flight, PaxLog stores those photos as part of your flight logbook data.

The app may request access to your photo library only when you choose to select or save photos. PaxLog does not scan your photo library in the background and does not upload your photos to a developer-controlled server.

If iCloud sync is enabled, photos stored in PaxLog may also be synced through iCloud as part of your app data.

Location

PaxLog may use airport coordinates and flight information to display maps and routes.

If the app offers an optional feature to show your current location on the map, your device may ask for location permission. Your location is used only to display your position inside the app. It is not sent to the developer.

Weather Data

PaxLog may retrieve weather information for flights or airports. To provide this feature, the app may send technical request data such as location, date or airport-related information to a weather data provider.

PaxLog does not intentionally send your name, contact details, payment information or complete personal flight logbook to the weather data provider.

In-App Purchases

PaxLog may offer an in-app purchase to unlock additional app functionality.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. The developer does not receive your payment card details. PaxLog may receive purchase status information from Apple so that purchased features can be unlocked.

Analytics, Advertising and Tracking

PaxLog does not use advertising tracking.

PaxLog does not sell your personal data.

PaxLog does not share your personal flight logbook data with third parties for marketing purposes.

If analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

External Services

PaxLog may use Apple system services and external services to provide app functionality, including:

External services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Data Sharing

The developer does not share your personal flight logbook data with third parties, except where necessary to provide app functionality, where handled by Apple services such as iCloud or StoreKit, or where required by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your PaxLog data remains stored on your device unless you delete it.

You can delete flight entries directly in the app. You can also delete the app from your device, which removes locally stored app data from that device.

If iCloud sync is enabled, some data may remain in iCloud and may continue to sync to your other devices. You can manage or delete iCloud app data through your device and Apple ID settings.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct or delete your data.

Because PaxLog stores your data locally on your device and/or in your own iCloud account, most access, correction and deletion actions can be performed directly in the app or through your device and iCloud settings.

PaxLog is not intended for children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be made available through the app or the app’s privacy policy webpage.
