These Terms of Use apply to the use of PaxLog, an iOS app developed by Christian Ettelt.
By downloading, accessing or using PaxLog, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.
PaxLog is licensed, not sold. Your use of PaxLog is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple’s standard End User License Agreement for apps distributed through the App Store, unless a separate custom license agreement applies.
You may use PaxLog for your personal flight logging purposes on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store rules.
You may use PaxLog to record, manage and review your personal flight history, including flight details, statistics, maps, photos and related information.
You agree not to:
You are responsible for the flight information, photos, notes and other data that you enter into PaxLog.
PaxLog is intended as a personal logbook and reference tool. You are responsible for keeping your own backups where appropriate, including through iCloud or other device backup options.
The handling of personal data is described separately in the PaxLog Privacy Policy.
PaxLog may use Apple services such as iCloud, CloudKit, Apple Maps and StoreKit to provide certain features.
The availability and operation of these services may depend on Apple, your device settings, your Apple ID, network availability and other factors outside the developer’s control.
PaxLog may offer an in-app purchase to unlock additional functionality.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Purchase, billing, refund and cancellation processes are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and policies.
PaxLog may include airport, airline, aircraft, country, timezone, weather or other reference data.
While reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate information, this data may contain errors, may be incomplete, or may become outdated. PaxLog is not intended for operational aviation use, flight planning, navigation, dispatch, safety-critical decisions or regulatory compliance.
You should not rely on PaxLog as an official source of aviation, weather or operational information.
PaxLog may allow you to store photos with your flight entries or open external websites for related information, such as aircraft photos or aviation references.
External websites and services are not operated by Christian Ettelt. The developer is not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of external websites or services.
PaxLog is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Christian Ettelt makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the app, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, availability, accuracy or non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Christian Ettelt shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including loss of data, loss of profit, business interruption or other losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, PaxLog.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or mandatory statutory rights.
PaxLog may be updated, changed or discontinued at any time.
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be made available through the app or on the app’s website. Continued use of PaxLog after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict of law rules.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not limit any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your country of residence.
